The Audi Flagship 2008 Q7
September 30th, 2008 by Justin
For those looking for a large 4×4 vehicle, not so much to take it off road, but to get you from point A to B in luxury and style, the 2008 Audi Q7 definitely succeeds. The Q7 is the flagship 4×4 vehicle of this German auto maker and by the look of this rather large vehicle; it’s a sure winner for those looking for 4×4 luxury and performance.
The 2008 Audi Q7 is a behemoth. It is actually the biggest vehicle in its class and sports one of the largest engines around- a 493 hp, 5.9 liter diesel. The size of this engine is intimidating for some, but since it is a diesel, it is surprisingly fuel efficient. The vehicle is very large, in fact too large for those that travel narrow roads (some in the UK were complaining about the fact that this vehicle was too wide for the roads- but legally you are ok). The Q7 weighs in at 2.7 tones, but is absolutely incredible at acceleration. How is 0 to 60 in about 5.5 seconds- absolutely amazing! It can even climb to speeds over 150 mph (155 mph) making it more for the track than as a commuter vehicle.
The 2008 Audi Q7 comes with a power plant that includes twin turbo V12. While you might think this vehicle is a gas guzzler, the Q7 actually uses about 40 percent less gas than many of the vehicles in its class. Expect to get 25 mpg (diesel) on the highway.
For those looking for a great 4×4 vehicle with plenty of space, a huge power plant and performance that approaches a sports car, the Audi 2008 Q7 definitely impresses.

Truck anti theft device
September 30th, 2008 by Shenron
Truck get stolen every minute. Expert thieves need only a few seconds to open your truck. They can easily bypass the alarm system you have installed and drive away freely. Then you ask why it was stolen when you just installed the latest truck alarm system.
Truck alarms and anti theft device are from the opposite end of the light spectrum, with steering bolts a distant cousin. Truck alarms and bolts are merely deterrents; they only delay the process by a few seconds and cost the thief a few calories.
Anti-theft devices effectively prevent thieves from taking your truck by disabling the ignition system every time the truck is forced open. Disabling the ignition system makes it impossible to hotwire the truck, even by the most experienced truck thief. For total truck protection, go for anti-theft devices. They are professionally tested to be the most fool proof anti- truck theft device that no one has outsmarted yet.

Off Road Air (Axle) Lockers
September 28th, 2008 by Justin
For those that are true off road enthusiasts, there is nothing better than hitting the trials in your Jeep, truck or SUV. While we tend to believe that a vehicle with four wheel drive offers the best traction at all times, it should be noted that even with four wheel drive, your vehicle can lose precious traction and be forced to rely on momentum to overcome off road obstacles. For those 4×4 enthusiasts that want the very best traction at all times, there is an answer air (axle) lockers.
Getting the Best Traction on the Trail
Did you ever notice that there are times when you are driving your 4×4 and require traction, but the wheels that are getting it are the ones without the traction? The truth of the matter is that on most 4×4 vehicles the differential is set up to send the most power to the wheels with the least amount of traction. While it sounds like a good idea, in reality there are situations where tires that already have traction can use some extra power. One way to counter this effect is to use air (axle) lockers.
Get the Best Traction with Air (Axle) Lockers
Let’s say you are on a slippery slope and two of your real wheels are spinning away with absolutely no traction, under current conditions more power would be sent to these wheels. However, you would in reality be better off with more power going to the wheels that are sticking to get you out of the mess instead of simply spinning the tires. With air (axle) lockers you can achieve this objective. With a good set of air (axle) lockers you can send the power where you need it most and maximize your off road driving. You can purchase air lockers for both the front and rear axles and they are easy to install.

4×4 Tire Chains
September 26th, 2008 by Justin
With the fall and winter months fast approaching, it is time to look into not only maintaining your 4×4 vehicle for the colder months, but adding accessories that maximize your truck, SUV or Jeep’s performance in the snow, sleet or ice. One accessory that is generally not given a lot of credit, but can be quite practical and add additional safety while on winter roads are 4×4 tire chains.
Tire Chains Perfect for 4×4 Vehicles
If you are planning on driving on mountain roads or in a region that is expecting snow this season, it is wise to carry along 4×4 tire chains. Tire chains are affordable, easy to install and offer a variety of benefits to your vehicle. First off, tire chains help your 4×4 vehicle gain traction. Even though you have four wheel drive and large tires this will not necessarily be enough for gripping steep roads with lots of ice or snow. Tire chains maximize grip and traction, effectively offering additional safety.
4×4 Tire Chains Are Different from the General Variety
With a 4×4 tire chain most have a plastic encased steel cable that is on the inner side of the tire. This added feature is helpful in preventing the tire chains from hitting various components by the wheel (springs, radius rod, etc). In addition, look for tire chains that have a diamond pattern due to the fact that this feature not only gives you traction going forward and reverse, but sideways as well.
4×4 Tire Chains are Affordable and Easy to Install
For the most part, 4×4 tire chains are an excellent investment and quite affordable. In fact, for a couple of hundred dollars or less you can find a decent pair of tire chains. It should also be noted that tire chains are easy to install and usually take only a few minutes.

Personalized License Plates
September 26th, 2008 by Shenron
Plate numbers are required by law to be displayed conspicuously in front and at the back of the truck. License plates are the first thing we look at in order to identify one truck from the other. Now, identical trucks are churned out of the assembly line by the thousands.
License plates can be made to serve one more purpose and that is to portray the owner’s distinct and unique personality apart from the rest. More than the letters and numbers that make up the plate number, license plates could also sport some characters and graphics that define the owner.
Truck owners can have their license plates personalized down to their very distinctive idiosyncrasies. A personal motto or slogan, a favorite flower or pet, or even the car owner’s own picture could be impressed onto the license plate.
The personalized licensed plate is a silent scream of one’s individuality amidst the demand to be seen and be heard.
Check out Decal Junky and get your plate today!
