2009 Jeep Commander
November 11th, 2008 by Justin
For those that love a Jeep, one of the choices one can make is the 2009 Jeep Commander. While not as sexy as the Rubicon or full of luxury as other Jeep/SUV fusions, the 2009 Jeep Commander is definitely a capable vehicle and it offers three possible trims- all three with the option of either 2WD or 4WD. While this vehicle caters to those that require SUV space and luxury, the Jeep Commander is capable off road with its 4WD package.
2009 Jeep Commander Tech Specs
The 2009 Jeep Commander offers plenty of attraction options and trims. This includes the Commander Overland available in 4×2 configs, Commander Limited 4×4 and Commander Sport which is a 7 passenger SUV that features 4WD. There are 3 different engines available and some may not be an option depending on the trim. The first is a 3.7l V6 5 speed automatic, the second is a 4.7l V8 and the third is a 5.7l V8 Hemi. Besides a choice of capable engines, there are also a variety of transmissions available depending on the package and the config of either 2×4 or 4×4.
Inside the 2009 Jeep Commander
While the Jeep Commander is an excellent vehicle and is capable of hitting the trails, this vehicle is truly made for the road. Inside the spacious cabin, you will find plenty of SUV/mini van amenities perfect for those with plenty of kids or those that require hauling capabilities. Besides the creature comforts, there are plenty of special features including rain sensitive windshield wipers, power sunroof and rearview camera for backing out safely. The base price for these models range from about $36K to about $46K, which for most families is steep, however the Jeep Commander definitely offers value.
