2009 Jeep Sahara

October 13th, 2008 by Justin

Jeep is perhaps the ultimate off road 4×4 vehicle.  For decades, very few vehicles have come close to approaching the practicality, ruggedness and styling that is a Jeep.  For those that love Jeeps, the Sahara has always been a trim level of the Jeep Wrangler that has added plenty of style and practicality.  If you are looking to hit the trails, eat some rocks, or just ride around your beach town with the top down, you can’t beat the 2009 Jeep Sahara.

Jeep Sahara 2009

2009 Jeep Sahara Tech Specs
The Jeep Sahara is a 2 door 4×4 with a very peppy 3.8 liter V6 engine.  For those that are looking for lots of power for the trail, the Jeep Sahara definitely has enough with 202 horsepower and 232 pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm.  The Jeep Sahara comes with a 6 speed manual transmission and shift on the fly 4 wheel drive.  The Jeep Sahara also has 18 inch wheels and a ground clearance of 10.2 inches which is definitely enough to get you over small boulders and fallen trees.  While this vehicle doesn’t have the best fuel economy at 19 highway and 15 in the city, it is the closest you can probably get to a Harley on 4 wheels.

Plenty of Fun in the Sun
The Jeep Sahara is a solid vehicle and perfect for outdoor types looking to maximize their time in nature.  Whether riding around during the summer time, getting up steep mountain hills in snowy conditions or enjoying the trails with friends or family, you will be hard pressed to find a performer like the Jeep Sahara that is more budget friendly.  Besides giving you everything one needs from a 4×4 vehicle, the price is definitely right for many at about the $26K mark.
