2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty

Chrysler has announced the 2010 version of the iconic Dodge Ram coming in 2500 and 3500 heavy duty models, with many new features but cheaper price than the 2009 model.
The new Ram starts at $28,165 which is more than a grand less than last year’s price. The car is available with two choices for the engine, a 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel with 350 hp and 650 lb-ft. of torque, and a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with variable-valve timing developing 383 hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.

The all-new 2010 Ram Heavy Duty features three cab styles (regular cab, crew-size cab and Mega Cab) and two cargo-box sizes (6-foot, 4-inches and 8-foot), single- and dual-rear-wheel configurations, five trim levels, all-new exterior and interior styling and superior towing capability.

The all-new 2010 Ram is available with a starting U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $28,165 for regular cab models, $31,415 for crew cab models and $36,865 for Mega Cab models. All prices include $950 for destination. The all-new 2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty arrives in dealerships in late 2009 calendar year.

Mercedes-Benz GL BlueTEC awarded by TAWA

With its high-tech and extremely clean BlueTEC diesel engine, the Mercedes GL has been named as the SUV of the year in Texas based on votes by forty-one journalists from Texas Auto Writers Association.
The GL350 BlueTEC is a full size luxury SUV powered by a 3.5 liter V6 diesel which is one of the world’s cleanest engines of its kind. it produces 210 hp and 400 lb-ft. of torque and can cover a distance of 600 miles on a single tank of fuel.

Newly restyled for model year 2010, the GL350 BlueTEC features a sporty front grille and bumpers with chrome-ringed fog lights, redesigned stainless steel skid plates with trapezoidal exhaust pipes, and 20-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels with all-season run-flat tires. The GL’s second and third-row seats can be easily stowed to provide a flat cargo space that totals 83 cubic feet of cargo room. Safety features include standard ESP® stability control with Trailer Stability Assist, LED taillights; ABS anti-lock internally ventilated brakes; two-stage adaptive air bag for the driver and passenger, driver’s knee air bag, seat-mounted side air bags in front and rear, and curtain side air bags protecting all three rows; NECK-PRO active front head restraints; and adaptive belt tensioners and force limiters.
The GL is also equipped with PRE-SAFE®, a safety system that senses impending collisions and automatically positions passengers for better protection. The PRE-SAFE system will close windows and the sunroof if an impending crash is sensed while the POST-SAFE® system avoids consequential damage after an accident by turning-on hazard lights, unlocking doors, and cutting-off engine and fuel supply.
The starting price for 2010 Mercedes-Benz GL350 BlueTEC in America is $59,950.00.

2010 Volvo XC90

for the new year the lovely Volvo XC90 will get a minor update in order to remain fresh and tidy as one of the best selling cars of the company and one of the best family SUVs. The changes are subtle, after all when something is good you don’t wanna mess with it. And of course a whole new generation is on the way, so this slight update makes sense for its last year.

The XC90 is a very clever car inside and is certainly designed by someone who had children! Everything is placed in the right place and the quality of used materials are above the standards. The car can accommodate seven passengers and based on the trim level can be had with chrome or aluminum detailing, 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery and a new navigation system.
The choice of engines for the Volvo XC90 include a 3.2-liter V6 with 238 hp or a 315hp 4.4-liter V8 as the petrol ones, and the famous five-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 185 hp.

TAWA named Jeep Patriot Compact SUV of Texas

2010 Jeep Patriot 4×4 is named by Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) as the best compact SUV of the year in due to its amazing capabilities considering its class.
“This is certainly an honor for Jeep,” said Michael Manley, President and Chief Executive Officer – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “We’re proud the Patriot proved its off-road prowess at the Texas Truck Rodeo. The Trail Rated® Jeep Patriot 4×4 is hands down the most capable and affordable SUV in the compact segment.”

Jeep Patriot is available in three drive configurations: front-wheel drive, Freedom Drive I(TM) (a full-time, active four-wheel-drive system with lock mode) and Freedom Drive II(TM) Off-Road Package (a full-time, active 4×4 system with best-in-class 19:1 Low Ratio that provides true Jeep 4×4 Trail Rated capability). The car comes with 17-inch all-terrain tires, a full-size spare tire, skid plates, tow hooks and fog lamps maximize Jeep Patriot’s off-road capability.
As a compact SUV the Patriot is returning great value for its at $18,425 price tag (base price incl. destination charge). It combines safety features and interior flexibility of a sport-utility vehicle with performance, handling, and 29-mpg highway fuel economy.

Ford F-150 SVT Raptor named 2009 Truck of Texas

Texas Auto Writers Association has awarded the all-new Ford F150 SVT Raptor with the “2009 Truck of Texas” title which it really deserves. it’s also named best “Full-size Pickup Truck.”
“Winning the Truck of Texas is a distinct honor,” said Mark Fields, president, The Americas, Ford Motor Company. “Texans know their trucks, and this award is further proof of why the F-150 remains America’s number-one selling pickup. We built F-150 SVT Raptor for truck enthusiasts. And we’re gratified it’s gaining recognition for both its unequaled off-road performance and confidence-inspiring on-road demeanor.

The new Raptor F150 is the coolest model of this breed built so far featuring a pure American macho appearance which is much more refined and better than the old models. it’s powered by a 5.4-liter SOHC V-8 engine that produces up to 320 horsepower and 390 ft.-lb. of torque. In early 2010 customers will have the option of an even more powerful new 6.2-liter V-8 engine.
The demand for the F150 Raptor SVT is quit high, more than 3000 orders have already been placed for the car. Starting price for the F-150 SVT Raptor is $38,995 including destination and delivery charge.
