2010 Daewoo Winstorm
October 3rd, 2009 by Arman
Since GM took over the Korean car maker Daewoo, most of their products had made their way to the global market with a Chevrolet badge on them. But the company itself isn’t dead, well at least in Korean market!! and they are back on the headlines with the 2010 Daewoo Winstorm SUV.
Daewoo Winstorm is best described as Hyundai Santa Fe wannabe! not that it’s worse than the Santa Fe, but obviously it has not enjoyed the Santa’s enormous sales success around the world. And if you think that this car, specially after its 2010 facelift, looks like a bit like Chevy Captiva well that’s becasue of the roots!

The 2010 Winstorm comes with a five-speed automatic transmission as standard. The SUV is offered in three trim levels with a choice of two-wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) and five or seven seats. The LS model (2WD, five-seater) is priced at KRW 22.7 million; the LT model (2WD, five-seater) at KRW 24.9 million; and the LTX (4WD, five-seater) at KRW 30.9 million.
The company also has a new clever marketing plan for it, by which instead of choosing a trim level with fixed options, there is a “My Choice” program so customers can customize their vehicle by choosing various option packages such as style, safety, navigation, and premium packages.
