Mercedes announced a new diesel variant of its mighty G-class off-roader for 2010 which is equipped with the BlueTEC technology for better efficiency and lower emissions than the old CDI models.

It’s powered by a 3.5 liter V6 turbo-diesel with 210 hp and 540 Nm of peak torque.

This engine comes with the AdBlue system which is an aqueous urea solution which is injected into the exhaust-gas stream and converts up to 80 percent of the nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water. One full tank of AdBlue is good for around 12,000 kilometres. As a result the G350 BlueTEC complies all EU5 regulations.

This green G-Wagen also has electronically controlled traction system 4ETS, the Electronic Stability Program ESP and three differential locks.
