2010 Nissan Murano with diesel engine

Since its launch, Nissan Murano crossover used to come wit only one V6 engine so you didn’t have to think about which model to buy! But as it became more and more popular and second gen arrived, Nissan is offering new engines and options for it.

This year, you’ll be able to buy this fancy looking crossover with an diesel engine.

It’s the Nissan’s 2.5 dCi four cylinder engine which is enhanced for the Murano and develops 190hp and 450Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox and features ASC (Adaptive Shift Control) and Nissan’s advanced ALL MODE 4×4-i technology.

The changes made to the engine include a new direct injection system which operates at 2000 bar, up from 1800 bar. This increase in pressure means the fuel spray is atomised to an even finer degree resulting in more complete combustion. A new cylinder head with parallel ports increases the swirl efficiency of the combustion process, smoothing the intake and exhaust flow, while a new variable nozzle turbo (VNT) with electric control rather than the previous hydraulic system for quicker responses has also been adopted.
