2010 Toyota Hilux gets updated
December 7th, 2009 by Arman
During its many years of presence in the market, the legendary Toyota Hilux pickup truck has become a symbol of toughness, durability and practicality. Now it’s become even better as Toyota releases some updates for it in 2010.
2010 Toyota Hilux features a revised 2.5 D-4D engine, which has been upgraded by almost 20 percent than the old model. The power has upped from 118 hp to 143 hp and 343Nm of torque. The high-power 3.0 D-4D engine is available exclusively in the Invincible Double Cab model.

2010 Hilux is available in Single Cab, Extra Cab and Double Cab modes, and comes with a five-speed manual transmission. Although the truck’s performance is improved ( 0 to 60 now takes 12.5 seconds – 2.5 seconds faster than the old one!), its co2 emissions remains the same at 219g/km.
These improvements have been achieved by the introduction of a new high-output turbocharger and new fuel injectors that are more precise, improving throttle response and performance. To cope with the extra power, the pistons have been upgraded to a new high-strength material.

Depending on the model you choose, you get new equipments and options such as two new grey upholstery cloths and a new two-tone leather, Satellite navigation with Bluetooth, Sport Deck and an Urban Pack (front guard, scuff plates and front and rear parking sensors).
