Volkswagen recently revealed the new generation of its popular Sharan mid-size van. The car gets a fresh design along with updated engines and equipments, but amazingly it is much cheaper than the old model, much cheaper!
You can have the car with a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine which develops 150 hp and has average fuel consumption of 7.2 liters per 100 km, or a 2.0-litre TDI diesel with 140 hp. This engine might be a bit weaker but it’s more economical as it only needs 4.4 liters of fuel in every 100 km.
Later this year, a 170 hp TDI and a 200 hp TSI engine will be added to the range.
Pricing for the 2010 VW Sharan starts at 28,875 Euro for the 1.4 liter model and 30,950 Euro for the 2.o liter. The base model is more than 2,000 Euro cheaper than the one it replaces.
