At 2010 New York International Auto Show, Mercedes Benz introduced a new variant of the E-class station wagon equipped with a 3.5 liter engine and 4-Matic AWD system, which is a perfect alternative for all the big and thirsty SUVs.
The E350 4Matic Wagon with its clever 60-40 fold-down rear seats offers the same practicality as a SUV but without attracting too much attention. And because it comes with Mercedes’ sophisticated 4-Matic, it’d have no problem dealing with rough terrains.
Another advantage this car has over the big 4x4s is the fuel economy. It also comes packed with high-tech features such as ATTENTION ASSIST system that can alert the driver to the first signs of drowsiness, Lane Keeping Assist, which alerts the driver by simulating rumble strip vibration in the steering wheel if the car drifts from its lane without the turn signals on, and Night View Assist PLUS can now enable a driver to see pedestrians up to 300 feet earlier than before.
It also gets Mercedes’ Pre-Safe and new Command systems.
