Big Trucks

May 10th, 2007 by Shenron

Gone are the days when little trucks ruled the truck market. These days, people want big trucks that have lots of power and towing ability. Because of this, each of the major automotive producers in the United States are coming out with new and improved versions of their old big trucks. Ford, Chevy, and Dodge have all put an emphasis on their larger models as customers demand the power afforded by these beastly rides.

Ford is the company that really set the standard for the fine product of big trucks. Some might consider their F-150, which is the best selling vehicle in America, to be a large truck. It is not a big one to Ford, though. They actually have two models that would be considered larger and more powerful. These big trucks, the F-250 and F-350 are basically larger versions of the F-150. The only difference is that they provide more power to drivers.

Not one to be outdone, Chevrolet also has its share of big trucks. Their Silverado is one of the most popular and highest selling trucks on the market. They make this truck in big and smaller versions, as some are four wheel drive and some are two wheel drive. Still, they provide truck lovers with an option when looking at big trucks.

Dodge has also gotten into the mix in regards to big trucks. Their Dodge Ram is a big, powerful automobile that packs plenty of horsepower. Though this truck is not nearly as popular as similar makes from Chevy and Ford, it offers just as much power and size. The Dodge Ram is a relatively young addition to these big trucks and it should continue to grow in popularity as more people come to recognize its power and presence.
