Michelin’s special tires For 2010 Porsche Cayenne
April 30th, 2010 by Arman
The new generation of Porsche Cayenne might still have flaws in its styling, but as far engineering goes, that car is approaching absolute perfection!
To help with this, Michelin has developed new range of tires specifically designed for the new Cayenne. They include Michelin Latitude Tour HP, Michelin Latitude Sport and Michelin Latitude Alpin.

These ranges ensure that in summer and winter the new Porsche Cayenne will be equipped with tires that enhance safety performance, reduce its environmental footprint and last longer.
Michelin has been providing high performance tires for Porsche since 1960.

2011 Porsche Cayenne orders surge
April 15th, 2010 by Arman
Porsche unveiled the new generation of their luxurious and fast 4×4 off-roader, the Cayenne at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, and revealed its all-new face, which has become sleeker and classier than the old one.
Apparently, the new design along with the new interior and some technical adjustments turned out to be quite appealable to people, as Porsche CEO recently announced that the number of orders already placed for this car has exceeded even their most optimistic expectations!

“We’re looking at an incredibly high order intake from almost all markets,” Porsche CEO Michael Macht told Business week. Speaking from the company’s Leipzig, Germany, factory, he said, “Everything is suggesting that this negative trend seems to have ended.”
So, looks like that the new Cayenne too is going to be a big hit, just like the first gen.

New generation Porsche Cayenne
February 25th, 2010 by Arman
Porsche today unveiled an all-new model of its luxury SUV, the Cayenne which features new design inside and out, and also revealed the pricing for all models in the range.
Speaking of the range, the 2011 Porsche Cayenne comes in five models: Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne Turbo and the new Cayenne S Hybrid. The hybrid variant needs only 8.2 litres/100 kilometres (equal to 34.4 mpg imp) with 193 g/km Co2 rating.

As for the other powertrains, you get the 300 hp V6, 400 hp V8 and the 500 hp Turbo V8, and of course the 240 hp diesel V6. All of these engines are optimized for better fuel efficiency and cover the Euro 5 standards.
Porsche has actually put a huge effort into making the new Cayenne as light as possible and managed to shave 180 kg off of it. They have used light weight materials for the body and also re-engineered the whole 4WD system and the transmission!

Here’s the official pricing for the 2011 Porsche Cayenne: (sales start from May 2010)
- Cayenne: £41,404
- Cayenne Diesel: £44,178
- Cayenne S: £53,693
- Cayenne S Hybrid: £57,610
