This version of the car is targeted for families, not big ones, a young and dynamic family who want a stylish crossover that can also take care of their needs. The Evoque does exactly that!

It has the same quality, craftsmanship, 4×4 capability, great drive, generous amount of equipments and really high class as other range rovers, but in a more compact and environment friendly way. You can have it with diesel or petrol engines with very low CO2 output.

To be launched in 2011, the car has a projected price of 30 to 35,000 GBP.

This handsome compact SUV is the smallest Range Rover in history, hence some people call it the baby Rangie!

Being a compact car, the company decided to offer it with 2WD system, with 4WD as an optional extra. It’s mainly designed as a 3-door vehicle, but there will bw a 5-door version as well. The car will also get smaller much more efficient engines than normal Range Rovers.

This is a very important car for Range Rover, which is why they threw a big party for it, and even had Victoria Beckham to unveil it. The Evoque will make its debut at this year’s Paris Auto Salon.

This new engine is a 4.4 liter TDV8 diesel unit which replaces the old 3.6 liter, and has 313 hp and 700 Nm of torque. This engine really is in tune with the time with its average fuel consumption of 31 mpg.

The new model also gets a new ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox coming with a rotary dial instead of the traditional lever, and upgraded Terrian Response system with Hill Start Assist and Gradient Acceleration Control.

As for the styling, the car gets a few minor tweaks such as the new grille and gilles, 20-inch wheels or new body colors. But then Range Rover has a unique timeless design which doesn’t need to be changed!

This car is by any means the best car in the world, because there is no situation in which it isn’t useful. It’s an spacious luxury family car with a fancy interior full of leather and wood and packed with high-end features. It’s also a high-riding off-roader with the world’s most sophisticated 4×4 system which is literally unstoppable in every situation!

In fact the car’s only problem used to be weak engines, which is not the case anymore with the new models as it can be had with a supercharged V8 these days. But the main reason it’s the best car in the world is because it’s freezingly cool everywhere it goes. Quite a few cars have this level of class and prestige.

Now buckle up for a quick history lesson about this superb 4×4:

There have been three generations of Range Rover. The original, now known as the Classic, went on sale in 1970 and continued in production, with numerous upgrades and a multiplicity of variants, for just over 25 years.

The second-generation vehicle went on sale in 1994 and was replaced in 2001 by the current model. The continuing success of the Range Rover ensured that other premium makers jumped into the booming luxury SUV market. The latest version has enjoyed higher annual sales than any previous models and continues to be popular around the world. Sold around the world, from London to Los Angeles, Sydney to Shanghai, Turin to Tokyo, the Range Rover remains the ultimate choice for the luxury SUV customer.

“The Range Rover is really four vehicles in one,” says managing director Phil Popham. “It’s a seven-days-a-week luxury motor car, a leisure vehicle that will range far and wide on the highways and off-road trails of the world, a high performance car for long distance travel, and a working cross-country vehicle.”

A second model line, the Range Rover Sport, was launched in 2005, aimed at more sports-oriented driver-focused customers. It has been a great success, and in 2007 was Land Rover’s biggest selling vehicle worldwide.

Later this year, a further member of the Range Rover family will be added, taking the portfolio to three model lines. The new vehicle will be smaller, lighter and more fuel efficient, tying in perfectly with the Range Rover brand’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Yet it will be no less premium, no less luxurious, and no less special than the other

H&H Overfinch Range is based on the 2010MY Vogue and is fitted with special equipments you see nowhere else. It features gun cabinets as well as a mini bar at the back, all made of very special and very expensive wood. So is the leather they have used for trimming the interior, these materials are of the private jets level of quality!

The car has been turned into a four-seater, because at the back the middle seat has been replaced with a fancy drinking lounge! Which has a refrigerator and a serving table with glass holders.

Although the engine of this car has not been changed, you may have it with TDV8 diesel of the new 5.0 liter supercharged V8, but Overfinch improves the looks of the car using their own parts.

They also give the RR a new set of 20” Tiger wheels (fitted with all season Mud & Snow tyres). These wheels are also available in 22 inch size. The price of this unique Range Rover which is limited to only 100 units, is 139,650 GBP in the UK.

The Range Rover Sport offers plenty of off road performance with a sporty SUV design, it also offers the engineering and technology that has made the Land Rover perhaps the ultimate off road vehicle.  The Range Rover offers seating for 4 and comes in a choice of two trim levels.  They include the HSE and the Supercharged.  The HSE is a very capable vehicle without being supercharged and offers a 4.4 liter V8 engine with a very peppy 300 horsepower.

If you are looking for ultimate power, the Supercharged trim is definitely the one to choose.  This trim offers a smaller, but much more powerful 4.2 liter supercharged V8 engine that turns out a whopping 390 horsepower.  Married to these engines are a six speed automatic transmission which includes the feature of CommandShift manual shift mode.  The HSE and Supercharged trims also come with Terrain Response which is their spectacular off road enhancement feature and either 19 inch wheels for the HSE or 20 inch wheels for the Supercharged vehicle.  Prices range from about $53K to $71K depending on trim and options.

The Range Rover will not be a low powered, low distance vehicle that many manufacturers are currently producing.  In fact, the Range Rover electric version is expected to achieve 200 miles on one single charge.  In addition, it will have solar panels on the roof to help charge batteries, run the A/C and other interior amenities.  In addition, Range Rover states that there are a whole host of technologies that they are in the process of researching and testing which might make their way into the vehicle.  Range Rover states that this new electric vehicle will use about 80% less energy than a typical Range Rover with no reduction in power.

While this is definitely a step in the right direction, the first few production vehicles produced will be quite expensive and out of reach for most consumers.  Range Rover is expected to release the first electric models for the price of $175K to $230K- easily twice as much as Tesla’s Roadster.  However, for those into off roading and the environment, this is definitely a step in the right direction and will lead to lower prices and better technology for the many vehicles to come.  While currently just a prototype, we look forward to seeing the new electric Range Rover in a couple of years.
