Chevrolet Silverado
July 2nd, 2007 by Shenron
The Chevrolet Silverado is a newer designed truck that came along after the one before it, the old and true C/K, was discontinued in favor of the new look, and the overall new design. This truck is designated as a full size pickup truck and the Silverado features itself a front engine rear wheel drive system that can also be four wheel drive. The Silverado is actually the GMT800, which is the descendant of the GMT400 (the C/K) and is a truck that comes in various designs and various features, there’s even a whole line of SS and other sorts. The vehicles cane come with a 4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L or even a 6L engine and optionally can come with either a four speed auto transmission or a five speed manual transmission. The Chevrolet Silverado has a lot of length varieties and mirrors the Ford F-series in the way each different design can be changed. The GMT800 has been discontinued, however the GMT800 Heavy Duty has not been, and this Silverado comes with at the minimum a 6L engine, but can also come with an 8.1L or a 6.6 - all are V8’s.
Recently a better revamped version of the Sierra 1500 was put into production and is the Sierra C3/Denali truck, which has a choice of 4.8 to 6.0 V8 engines that range in horsepower from 295 all the way up there to 367 (and with some tuning you can expect to hit 400). In 03 another truck that was designed for pure performance was released to the public, the Chevrolet Silverado SS. It is basically a good old fashioned 1500 that is modified drive trains and appearances, both inside and out of course, along with the engine. The engine in this is a 6.0 liter Vortec High-Output V8 which has been registered at 345 horses. Finally, worth mentioning, is the VHO package, similar to the Silverado SS package it also has some changes - those changes let it haul an amazingly huge 10,000 pounds of material.
