Dry Bulk Semi Trailers
October 1st, 2007 by Shenron
Used to dry powders and granules, or unload feeding ingredients and food grade commodities such as flour, and other types of feed materials in daily life. These trucks have a horizontal set body, looking similar to a tanker semi trailer but having its own differences to it. This is usually confused with a bigger version of the Tanker trucks, but it is one of its own. Dry powder materials are what is coming in and out of the Dry Bulk Semi Trailers. So that they may get dried out and shipped off to wherever they need to go, or to whoever wants to buy them. Dry Bulk trailers are outfitted with vacuum pumps that can be used for truck mounted vacuum service providing air flows to 1300 cfm (2,200 m³/h) and vacuum to 17 “Hg (575 mbar). To brush out all the unwanted leftover materials out from the back of the trailer to make room for new materials to be shipped.
Refrigerated freight is another big hauler that Dry Bulk trailers may carry from town to town. A payload of refrigerated freight is nothing when you’re hooked up with an 18 wheeler that seats you higher then the sky, another tool that lets you see over you. There are many different types of pneumatic mechanisms that can deliver dry bulk products to help increase storage space. There is no need for tipping the container, and it’s a unique method of connecting the hoppers to the frame using skirt rings at the ends of the frame and side panels secured to the hoppers and to the end pieces of the external frame and extending the length of the container to provide sufficient strength to the container. Dry bulk materials usually after being evacuated from a semi trailer, the materials flow smooth and quickly over different types of surfaces.
