New generation Porsche Cayenne
February 25th, 2010 by Arman
Porsche today unveiled an all-new model of its luxury SUV, the Cayenne which features new design inside and out, and also revealed the pricing for all models in the range.
Speaking of the range, the 2011 Porsche Cayenne comes in five models: Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne Turbo and the new Cayenne S Hybrid. The hybrid variant needs only 8.2 litres/100 kilometres (equal to 34.4 mpg imp) with 193 g/km Co2 rating.

As for the other powertrains, you get the 300 hp V6, 400 hp V8 and the 500 hp Turbo V8, and of course the 240 hp diesel V6. All of these engines are optimized for better fuel efficiency and cover the Euro 5 standards.
Porsche has actually put a huge effort into making the new Cayenne as light as possible and managed to shave 180 kg off of it. They have used light weight materials for the body and also re-engineered the whole 4WD system and the transmission!

Here’s the official pricing for the 2011 Porsche Cayenne: (sales start from May 2010)
- Cayenne: £41,404
- Cayenne Diesel: £44,178
- Cayenne S: £53,693
- Cayenne S Hybrid: £57,610
- Cayenne Turbo: £81,589
