The Audi Flagship 2008 Q7
September 30th, 2008 by Justin
For those looking for a large 4×4 vehicle, not so much to take it off road, but to get you from point A to B in luxury and style, the 2008 Audi Q7 definitely succeeds. The Q7 is the flagship 4×4 vehicle of this German auto maker and by the look of this rather large vehicle; it’s a sure winner for those looking for 4×4 luxury and performance.
The 2008 Audi Q7 is a behemoth. It is actually the biggest vehicle in its class and sports one of the largest engines around- a 493 hp, 5.9 liter diesel. The size of this engine is intimidating for some, but since it is a diesel, it is surprisingly fuel efficient. The vehicle is very large, in fact too large for those that travel narrow roads (some in the UK were complaining about the fact that this vehicle was too wide for the roads- but legally you are ok). The Q7 weighs in at 2.7 tones, but is absolutely incredible at acceleration. How is 0 to 60 in about 5.5 seconds- absolutely amazing! It can even climb to speeds over 150 mph (155 mph) making it more for the track than as a commuter vehicle.
The 2008 Audi Q7 comes with a power plant that includes twin turbo V12. While you might think this vehicle is a gas guzzler, the Q7 actually uses about 40 percent less gas than many of the vehicles in its class. Expect to get 25 mpg (diesel) on the highway.
For those looking for a great 4×4 vehicle with plenty of space, a huge power plant and performance that approaches a sports car, the Audi 2008 Q7 definitely impresses.
