Toyota Polar Hilux at 2010 Outdoors Show

Since Top Gear conquered the North Pole with a specially prepared 4×4 Toyota Hilux, the company wanted to make this version and put it on sale.

That’s what they are doing now in collaboration with an Scandinavian company, and as a sort of marketing program they are going to put car on display at the Outdoors Show 2010. It’ll be appearing on the stand OU925 at the show at the NEC, Birmingham from 26 to 28 March.

The Arctic Trucks fleet of vehicles includes two Toyota Hilux Invincible Double Cabs equipped with special features to meet the demands of tackling the country’s tundra, glaciers, lava fields and mountains, including a set of giant 38-inch tyres that allow the vehicle to traverse deep snow and thin ice. Trips can be between two and five days and longer expeditions through the wild landscape of Iceland can be arranged.
