Toyota Sequoia
November 29th, 2008 by Justin
The new Toyota Sequoia is a great vehicle-pure and simple. While it does offer 4 wheel drive, it wasn’t necessarily made for harsh off road conditions- and we are fine with that. It is first and foremost a family mover, however the way in which it does this is stylish, very comfortable and full of utility.
The Toyota Sequoia is a winner. This year’s model is much bigger in all respects and for those that are familiar with the Toyota Tundra, the Sequoia has definitely taken some styling cues from this vehicle. What you get is a very smartly engineered vehicle that has enough power for the road and a very comfortable interior that makes it easy to transport the family and if you love to shop plenty of bounty. Everything about this vehicle is engineered correctly. We have no faults with practically anything. It does what it sets out to do and we think most families will generally be pleased.
Under the Hood of the Toyota Sequoia
The Toyota Sequoia is a very large vehicle compared to last years model, however it comes with a very able power plant which includes a 5.7 liter DOHC V8 engine. This engine puts out a very respectable 381 horsepower and 404 lb ft torque. It also comes with a six speed ECT automatic transmission which was very smooth and comfortable. Regarding the suspension, it has a double wishbone with coil springs, and a stabilizer bar. The wheels are a nice 20 inches and wheel base is 122 inches. Curb weight is just under 6,000 pounds which explains the low fuel economy of 13/18.
If you are looking for the perfect family vehicle that has 4×4, the Toyota Sequoia is definitely worth the look.
