Trucks in Mobile Advertising
July 23rd, 2007 by Shenron
Trucks have invaded the marketing world. Business is coping with the mobile age through mobile advertising. Placing advertisements on truck sides is forward thinking by businesses in advertising their brands in crowded places.
As a form of outdoor advertising, trucks are used and specially designed to support large billboards. These trucks are then driven around cities and towns for advertising local events, conventions, or promote awareness to a particular cause or issue.
These mobile billboards are so popular because they are not limited to one location. This type of advertisement gives a wide exposure to the advertiser. The flexibility of mobile billboards allows the advertiser to advertise to a specific target market for a specific duration or period.
For example, an advertiser wants to get the attention of teachers. Armed with the information about a Teacher’s Convention at some place on what date, he can advertise his product or service using a mobile billboard. The mobile billboard can stay at an area in front of the place where the convention will be held or just drive back and forth within the city or town, covering the areas where the participants are billeted.
Semi-trailers are now also being used as a form of mobile advertising. These trailers and trucks travel hundreds of miles every day around blocks or cities. Due to the huge sizes of these semi-trailers, it is impossible for a commuter not to notice what is being advertised on these trucks.
Truck-side advertising is a lot more effective than conventional advertising in terms of exposure. Attention is captured by these moving advertisements while consumers are doing their daily routine. By using dazzling graphics and high-tech imagery, truck-side advertising has captured both local and national attention.
Trucks play a significant role in mobile advertising. They have increased consumer’s awareness of the different products and services available to them. Truck advertising is a cost efficient form of outdoor advertising in this current age.
Trucks can reach areas where other forms of outdoor advertising can’t. Truck advertising can make a small brand name big and a new brand name an instant success. Trucks can make an effective means of communication to people whether they’re at home, at work, or at play. It is undeniable that trucks have taken advertising to a new level.
