TX Performance Package for Toyota Tacoma
July 30th, 2010 by Arman
Toyota is offering, in America, the TX and TX Pro performance packages for the 2011 Toyota Tacoma which are inspired by their SEMA show car Toyota Racing Development TX TRD concept.
The packages can be had for both V6 Access Cab and Double Cab with V6 engines and either 2 or 4WD. The upgrades of TX treatment which is priced at $1699, are mostly there to make the car more off-road capable.

So it comes with TRD 16-inch black alloy bead-lock wheels and 265/70R16 BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires. Black tube side steps, a stainless steel exhaust tip and unique exterior graphics. TX Pro also features cat-back performance exhaust system for better noise.

Chassis modifications (applied on both TX models) include an electronic locking rear differential, progressive-rate front springs, specially tuned Bilstein shock absorbers, a 28-mm front stabilizer bar and B.F. Goodrich Rugged Trail tires. Fog lamps top off the package for a tough, sporty appearance. Added features on the TRD Off-Road Package include a 400W/115V powerpoint in the bed, sport seats with adjustable lumbar support and unique fabric, plus an overhead console with a compass and outside temperature display.
