Subaru Forester STi Edition

The outstanding Subaru Forester has just become much more desirable as it’s been given the STi treatment by the company.

But you can’t have it! Because it is a Japan-only model and even if you are prepared to move there in order to get one, you might not have great chance as it’s limited to only 300 units.

Apart from the mechanical upgrades including tougher suspension and AWD system, the Forester STi gets lots of great visual features.

It comes with STi sports seats, steering wheel, sport pedals and navigation system as well as a red starter button to cheer you up! It is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine delivering 263 bhp.

2010 Subaru Impreza XV Pricing

The new crossover version of the Subaru Impreza which comes with the XV badge is now available in the European market starting form 24,500 Euros.

Subaru Impreza XV is available in two editions, the 2.0R with 150 hp and 196 Nm, and the 2.0 D with the same 150 hp but 350 Nm of torque. They can be had with either a manual or an automatic transmission and come as standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.

The petrol model of the Impreza XV does 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and has a top speed of 193 km/h, and starts form 24,500 Euros. The diesel variant accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 205 km/h. It starts from 27,500 Euros. Automatic transmission will add another 1,400 Euros to the price of each model.

Impreza XV is not a fast or good looking vehicle, but like other Subaru crossovers such as the Forester, it’ll be incredibly tough and versatile.

2011 Subaru Legacy Outback Pricing And Options

Subaru recently announced the official pricing and options of the new 2011 Outback, and it starts from $23,195 which is $200 more than the 2010 model.

The Outback has always been a rugged and well made 4×4, maybe a bit agricultural, which is very reliable and last for ages. The new model also has the same qualities.

The Outback 2.5i, as mentioned starts form $23,195 for the basic model, but the Premium trim is priced at $24,495. For these models there is a $450 convenience package which adds a Rear Vision Camera, is added to Premium and Limited models – bundled with the Power Moonroof Package.

There is also the Outback 2.5i Limited which comes with Lineartronic CVT gearbox, starting from $28,495 and finally the six-cylinder Outback 3.6R which starts from $28,195 and goes up to $31,495.

Subaru Forester 2.5X Special Edition

After introducing the special Colombia edition for Australian market,  Subaru has unveiled another range-topping edition of its Forester SUV at 2010 NAIAS for America and other markets.

The Forester 2.5X comes with new roof rails and new 16-inch alloy wheels which can be fitted for as low as $400. It is powered by a 170-hp 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine and has Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard. Subaru also offers two additional trims which are more powerful and better equipped.

They are the 2.5XT Premium and 2.5XT Limited which are powered by a 224-hp turbocharged/intercooled Boxer engine. You may also order the All-Weather Package for all trims which adds more luxury.

But even the standard car is very feature rich. The 2010 model comes with stuff like leather appointed interior, 10-way power driver’s seat, automatic transmission, panoramic power moonroof. But you can customize it thanks to the additional packages they offer.

For example the $2300 Convenience Package will also give you a new Navigation System, HID headlights, plus a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, one-touch folding rear seats and a cargo area cover.

Subaru Forester X Columbia Special Edition

In 2010, Subaru will offer a very special edition of its Forester model which is prepared in collaboration with sportswear company, Columbia. Unfortunately though, it is only available in the Australian market, where the forester is one of the best selling SUVs.

The Forester X Columbia comes with some special features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, roof cross bars, cargo tray and rear step panel. The buyers will also receive a $500 voucher to spend on Columbia merchandise.

The car is limited to only 1050 units and will cost $33,990 driveaway for the manual and $35,990 for the automatic. Its standard features include: ABS brakes with EBD, Airbags – dual front, side and curtain, Air-conditioning,  All-Wheel Drive,  AM/FM radio/CD player, DataDot security system, Electronic throttle control system, Headlights auto off, Hill holder (manual only), Immobiliser security system, Power steering, mirrors and windows, Three year/unlimited kilometre warranty.
