Caravan Trailer
September 16th, 2007 by Shenron
The Caravan Trailer was the world’s first leisure caravan. The creators were the Bristol Carriage Company, who had first made it for Dr. W. Gordon-Stables in 1880. It was held with an 18 ft design, which carried out the previous Bible Wagons. Due to the advancement in technology, many European Caravan Trailer’s can vary from small caravans with no plumbing and hardly any basic life-dependent materials, to Goliath sized, managing twin-axles and can hold more than any other in Europe.
With the bump in interest with caravanning in the United Kingdom, in 2003, because of the excellent weather that the summer had upheld, and the increase in house prices. There are few companies that produce fifth wheel caravans fit to European road standards, and that is Calder Leisure, and the Fifth Wheel Company. The advantage with having a fifth wheel caravan is the fact that the insurance is promising, and cannot be stolen by any means.
With the venture to the outdoors, caravaning became very popular within the UK and is seen to be almost a culture to some of them. Whether going out on the holiday to tour the wildlife and see the many sites, or just traveling down the road - the Caravan Trailer can make all walks of life easier for everyone.
Normally, the Caravan Trailer is carried behind a truck to camp or load things - normally shipping them to other places, or for storage space. History states that showmen such as people who perform for others, and Gypsies would use these caravans to travel place to place to perform. Large six-berth caravans could hold many performers, and was an adequate tool for travel back in those ages, and still is today to go into the outdoors on a weekend trip with your family, or with friends.
To insure the caravan owner’s safety when purchasing a Caravan Trailer, they tend to request added security features to prevent the caravan from being stolen, in which is probably the safest way to go about using your Caravan Trailer.
